It seems as if Salva's journey has finally gotten a little better since its beginning. How do you think the traveling will be as they finish their trip across the second half of the Nile and enter the Akobo Desert? Do you think the journey becomes easier for them because they have escaped the actual war and battle?
I think the traveling will be harder as they finish their trip across the second half of Nile because they are entering the Akobo Desert so the Desert is very hot and you get trusty in one second. No, the journey will not become easier for them because they have escaped the war it will get harder than the war.
ReplyDeleteThirsty
DeleteAnd you can't capitalize "Desert".
DeleteI agree with you, but the most important thing is that the get out of the battle and the rebels not to catch them. So, they are lucky that these things didn't happen.
DeleteI think that it will get hared and harder for him and uncle. Hopefully they can make it across the Akobo desert and to the country of Ethiopia so they can get out of the war in Sudan. No I so not think that the trip will get easier until Ethiopia.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think the trip will get more challenging????? You did not even attempt to explain that.
DeleteOkay sorry about that. I think that it will get more challenging while they are going though the Akobo Desert.
DeleteYes, I think it became easier for some things, like getting out of the actual battle and the food got easier to get because Salva uncle has a gun and he can hunt food. But, the things that didn't get better is the mosquitoes and lots of walking and it got more hot. In my opinion it is going well so far because the most important thing is getting out of the war and the rebels don't catch them.
ReplyDeleteJust for a tip somethings is one word Zahraa.
DeleteI think the journey will get will get harder. Because they will travel across the desert and the desert has no water except for a few spots so the have to plan ahead. But also totterer is not as much predator in the desert as there are in other places. well the war and battle was always far away from them so I think it will stay the same or get worse because they were already far away from the battle.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes you think it could possibly get worse heading into the desert? What factors may play a role in making it difficult?
DeleteI think that Salva's journey is going to get much harder because the Akobo Desert is a very cruel and unforgiving place which has hot sand for miles and the bitter sun beating down on them all day and every day.I think escaping the war will make them feel a bit better but they have no idea about what they will have to do for survival
ReplyDeleteI like your terminology of "unforgiving." It couldn't be a more perfect word to describe a desert. Especially when the fisherman advised the travelers to bring water for sure!
DeleteI think that traveling might become a little easier because they escaped the war and are no longer in danger of getting caught by the soldiers. But they still have a whole half of the river to go and a desert to cross where there is way less food and water. Also, when they find people in Ethiopia, they might not like having newcomers and they might attack them.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the journey might get easier because they've escaped the war but going into the Akobo Desert will be difficult. It'll be difficult because the Akobo Desert might be even hotter which means they have to save food and water since it might be hard to find water and food.
ReplyDeleteI agree with with the desert being very difficult, but do you still wonder about if Salva will miss his parents even more because he has completely left the last place he saw them?
DeleteI agree with you because somethings are going bad and somethings are going well.
DeleteCaleb, I actually do think he might miss them because now he doesn't have any memories of his parents and he might feel lonely since that Merual is gone too.
DeleteWhat do you think will happen after they cross the desert?
DeleteCaleb just to let you know you have a run on sentence and there are big bushes that have shade under them for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteI think that maybe they will run into another war or battle not knowing, but maybe finds his father. I also think that from this moment on in this story he might be in some bad luck. Maybe they will run out of water because at the desert, water can dry out really quickly. And that maybe something will happen to his uncle or his uncle will lose him. And maybe Salva will get lost. and I think that Salva will find his father and he does run into another war because the book said earlier that Salva's parents and family got taken and the men were taken to go into war so I think that he might run into his father. I also thinks that the trip gets harder because maybe he will get lost or run of course like on the trip or on water like it said that they were in. And maybe all those things might not happen maybe it will be the opposite.
ReplyDeleteI think the journey will get will get harder. They will travel across the desert, and the desert has no water except for a few spots so the have to plan ahead. Also There are not as much predators in the desert as there are in other places. Well the war and battle was always far away from them so I think it will stay the same or get worse because they were already far away from the battle
ReplyDeleteI think that the second half of there quest across the river is gonna get a little worse cause they have to bring a jug of water and they are entering the desert. I think that thing will get a little easier now that Salva has a family member and they escaped the war. actual war.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by Quest What is there quest in your opinion
DeleteI agree because I think that the desert is a much tougher terrain and climate.
DeleteI think the journey will get harder. They will travel across the desert, and the desert has no water except for a few spots, so they have to plan ahead. Also There are not as much predators in the desert as there are in other places so they are safe for that reason. Well the war and battle were always far away from them so I think it will stay the same or get worse because they were already far away from the battle
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Preston because in the desert there are very few predators and water and I like how you use the word predators
DeleteKelly and Preston, there are still predators in the desert like all kinds of snakes and a lot more. Also I do not think that the amount of water they have will not last them as long as they need.
DeleteI agree Preston, in the desert there is less resources to live off of.
DeleteI think the traveling will be difficult because in the desert there is no water and almost no food because in the desert there is not much wildlife since there are no plants for animals to feed on. Another reason is because the Akobo Desert probably really long and the water that they brought with them will probably not last and in the desert it is very hot so most of the water may evaporate. I do not think that the journey will get easier even though they escaped the actual war because earlier in the story they said that they will go to Ethiopia and make their way back home so by then the war will end. Salvas journey ahead will probably get harder since they will probably come across another desert or a even harder environment to survive in. After escaping the war Salvas journey will continue because thy still got the desert ahead of them and in the desert there is no wildlife and no water.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the no water thing because in the desert is really hot so water will evaporate quickly
DeleteGreat response Kelly. You put a ton of details into your writing.
DeleteI agree that the desert is a harsh environment, but what place is harsher than a desert? Sure the forest is kind of hard but they already know what it is like so they will be prepared.
DeleteIt has gotten better because her uncle is there and he make easier because he knows how to hunt for food and he build them a boat so travelling can be easier.
ReplyDeleteI think Salvas journey will still have some challenges difficult in the dry hot Akobo Desert. I think that the journey will not be easier even though they have escaped the actual war and battle. One reason why I think this is that in the desert there is less resources to live off. These resources include lack of wild sulk, plants, and water. Also the biome is hot and humid. This is way I think the journey will be more difficult then were the war is going on in Sudan.
ReplyDeletei think savlas journey is not going to get Easier because all the fly's are going to bigger the is very long
ReplyDeleteThe beginning of the salva journey was rough but it got better now the to the hardcore desert the Akobo Desert. The travel across the second nile will be hard because he has to not fall asleep or he can go overboard and he can't drink a lot of water cause he need it for the Akobo Desert. No I think that his journey is going to leaded to a battle and war
