Chapter 7
It finally seems as though some luck maybe headed in a positive direction for Salva. They are finally making their way across the Nile and getting out of Sudan. What thoughts might Salva be having considering the point they have made it to, and now the journey they still have ahead of them crossing the Nile, the desert, and then to Ethiopia?

Salva maybe is worried because of crocodiles in the Nile river. He probably hopes that they have enough water to cross the desert. Therefore they have to plan ahead to cross the desert.

DeleteDo you think Salva's luck had begun to change now? They have traveled more than half way across Sudan, but still need to cross the desert too before entering Ethiopia.
ReplyDeleteI think that the thoughts that Salva is might having is that where is my family, when can I find them, what are they doing right know, what happened to my friend, how he is gone, because they are crossing the Nile river so he don't know what to do.
ReplyDeleteSalva might be thinking that he was lucky that he made it this far and is well for the most part. He could also feel guilty because he left his family and they are probably dead. Salva is most likely worried because there is still a long way to go through the desert in Ethiopia.
ReplyDeleteI like your suggestion of him feeling guilty. If you were in his situation, would the guilt be a driving force for you to be successful?

ReplyDeleteSalva is still in the middle of his Luck not to good and not to bad. Because they still have to cross a desert which with no water you can die of thirst. But luckily for then there on the biggest river in the world

DeleteI agree that they are on the biggest river and they could die and they probable have a little luck and could fall down.
DeleteIf I were Salva at this point, I'd be thinking a lot right now. Maybe I would think if Ethiopia is really the right place to go. Would the people there like the tribe? Where was Merual? Did he leave? Wait, there's blood, did he die< Did the rebels kill him? If I were Salva I'd definitely have thoughts in my head.
ReplyDeleteAlso, crossing the Nile can be a big deal. The tribe has to make a plan. There maybe crocodiles or other dangerous animals. Does the tribe actually know if Ethiopia's easy to handle.
DeleteThe thoughts that salva might be thinking is how are they going to make it through the crocodiels. He also might be thinking about walking through the desert and how they are going to survive the desert.
ReplyDeleteI think Salva thoughts are that he will miss his parents while going on a walk to Sudan then at the same time they have just benign their journey.Also they will sill pass Nile,the Desert,and Ethiopia.So when they still are on their walk they will come across those things.

DeleteI think Salva is still thinking about Marial and about how brutally attacked he was. Also,I think that Salva is scared about how time consuming and how much strength it is going to take. I think that Salva might also be afraid of all of the dangerous animals there are in the Nile.

ReplyDeleteSalva May be having a lot of thoughts in his head on the trip to Ethiopia considering that he cant find his family and that Marial is considered dead or gone. Salva may be worried that the trip across the river may not be safe or they might not have a thing to eat on the trip to the desert or across the desert. Salva also might think that since his friend is gone what will he do when he gets to Ethiopia and what will happen to him when his friend is gone and will he ever find his family.
ReplyDeleteI think that salva is thinking how will we make it across the Nile and than a desert to than be in a new country. Salva is also probable thinking what are we going to do and how will we survive . how will they get food or money for the city.

DeleteSavla maybe might go to Ethiopia and hears why 1 Savla is very close to Ethiopia 2 Savla uncle has a gun 3 they can hunt for food :)

DeleteHere are some thoughts Salva be having considering the point they have made it to. One thing Salva might be thinking of is that is Marial dead, and if he is dead did he suffer or feel pain. Also he might be thinking of will the boat sink.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Salva should be happy that he is moving out of the country because he will get away from rebels and the lions, But also he should be sad because he doesn't know where his parents is and maybe they are in Sudan and he is moving out from Sudan, and his friend got attacked by the lion.
